USA Flag Charcuterie Board

Need a festive snack for your next patriotic holiday gathering?  This USA flag themed charcuterie board might be the answer!  You can make it with just about any ingredients on any sized board, as long as you use red, white and blue ingredients.

Ingredients to Make the Flag

Ideas for the "blue" part of the flag:  any cheese with a blue color (like this Port Wine Derby Cheese from HEB), plus the addition of blueberries and blackberries

Ideas for the "red" stripes of the flag:  strawberries, cherries, prosciutto, pancetta, salami, pepperoni, red pears, apple slices, bell peppers, watermelon, red grapes, sun dried tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, pomegranates, cranberries and berry jams

Ideas for the "white" stripes of the flag:  havarti, brie, camembert, goat cheese, white cheddar, asiago, muenster, swiss, white grapes, crackers, bread, raw honeycomb, marcona almonds, chicken or turkey sliced deli meat

To Assemble the Board

Assemble the serving board in the resemblance of the USA flag pile your "blue" flag ingredients in the top left corner of the serving board.

For stars, use a thinly-sliced deli cheese, like Swiss, Muenster or Cheddar to cut stars with a small cookie cutter.

Starting at the top of the board, alternate "red" and "white" ingredients on the board to replicate stripes on the flag.  It doesn't really matter what ingredients you use, as long as they sound good to you!

We love the idea of pairing a mini jam (like the Strawberry Jalapeno one here from Kelle B. Jammin') with mini Brie bites sliced in half... you can really customize this serving board to be anything you want.

Make sure you bookmark this for next time you need a board for July 4th or Memorial Day.
