Hot Honey Ham and Cheese Sandwich Recipe

This Hot Honey Ham and Cheese Sandwich will have you craving it on the regular! It makes a great presentation for a lunch gathering, but it would also be a delightful bite at a bridal or baby shower.  You could even swap out the croissants for mini slider buns like Hawaiian bread rolls or something.  No matter how you slice it, you're going to want to try this sandwich.

Here's what you will need:

6-8 croissants

1 stick of butter, melted

1 T. hot honey (we used this one we sell from Savannah Bee Co)

2 T. Dijon mustard

1 T. brown sugar

1-3 T. whole grain mustard

sliced ham

sliced cheddar cheese

1 T. poppy seeds (optional)

Instructions:

Cut the croissants in half, then spread the whole grain mustard on the inside.  You can do both sides or just one (we did the bottom half only) - it's up to you how much mustard you want.

Layer the ham slices and cheese inside the croissants.  We just did one layer of each, but you could definitely double up for a more hearty bite.

On a greased baking sheet, arrange the stuffed croissants.

In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, hot honey, Dijon mustard, brown sugar and poppy seeds.

Brush a generous amount of the butter mixture on top of the croissants.

Cover with foil and bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes.  Remove the foil and bake for 1-2 more minutes until the cheese is gooey and melted.  Be careful not to burn the tops of the croissants.

Remove from the pan and serve hot.  Enjoy!
