Caprese Salad is one of our favorite Summer dishes, and this amped up version with Basil-infused olive oil is delicious!
Beefsteak tomato, sliced into 1/2 inch slices
Fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced into 1/4 inch slices
Thinly sliced and chopped Basil leaves
Slice the tomato and mozzarella. Alternate stacking slices of tomato and mozzarella cheese.
Drizzle the olive oil and balsamic vinegar over the stack of tomatoes and cheese.
Sprinkle basil and sea salt flakes on top and serve immediately.
Serving Tip: If you want to serve this for a larger group, layer the tomatoes and cheese in a shallow dish (this can be done ahead of time). Right before serving, drizzle the oil oil and balsamic vinegar, then add the basil and salt.
