Woodland Holiday Table
This Christmas, my holiday tablescape was inspired by evergreen trees, and I love how it turned out. First, I used a plain white tablecloth to create a base. I folded a plaid throw blanket to use as a runner (in the opposite direction).
For each place setting, I layered 2 different paper placemats from Hester & Cook - the evergreen trees rectangular mat and the circular, wood die-cut mat. A coordinating place card with trees (a Barque exclusive) and a decorative, cotton napkin complete the look for each setting.
A few hidden jingle bells never hurt a holiday tablescape. These I just happened to have on hand.
For the center of the table, I wanted something that guests could still see and have conversation through. I was thrilled upon finding this "Holiday Garland" carrier for 60% off at Jo-Ann's - it was perfect! All it needed was a little garland, mini battery-operated white lights, a fun ribbon and oversized candy canes to add some color.
With the addition of an antique red gas camping lantern on each end of the table and a sprinkling of tiny pine cones, this table has a rustic and woodsy look.
How do you decorate the table for the holidays? Do you have a tried and true table setup, or do you try something new every year? I'd love to know.
Merry Christmas all,
- Kandice
