Photo Gift Tag Idea
Last weekend I attended a baby shower for my future nephew, but since I only flew in for the day, I didn’t have my usual gift wrapping supplies. I had to get creative, so I used something Mom had plenty of on hand... old photos!
My mom was pretty amazing at documenting our childhood - my brother and I each graduated high school with 16-18 LARGE photo albums that were FULL!
I've always found it funny that while I was usually dressed in normal clothes, my brother was almost always wearing a different superhero cape (all of which were handmade by my mom).
Since my brother and his wife are having a little boy soon, I thought it would be fun to incorporate some of my favorite photos of him on the gift tags. I scanned in the photos, then printed them out on white cardstock to resemble polaroids (trimming the cardstock to have a white border all the way around, slightly larger at the bottom).
For this one, I wanted to have several "cape" photos at once. I love how this little project turned out, and I think it adds a lot of personality to the otherwise plain gift wrapping. In fact, I liked it so much, I might do the same thing for holiday packages this year!
